1. Who we are & what this covers
The Healthy Mummy Pty Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), owned by Hairmop Pty Ltd, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This policy explains how we handle personal information about our members, subscribers, customers, and visitors when you use The Healthy Mummy Wellness website at healthymummywellness.com and The Healthy Mummy Wellness mobile app (together, the “Wellness services”). The app is built and delivered on the BuildFire platform and is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using the Wellness services, purchasing our products, or subscribing to our plans, you agree to the handling of your personal information as described here.
This policy sits alongside our Cookie Policy and Terms & Conditions.
2. Information we collect
The kinds of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us. They may include:
Information you give us
- Identity & contact details — your name, date of birth, postal and email addresses, and phone number.
- Account & profile information — your login credentials, subscription and plan details, and preferences you set in your account or app profile.
- Health & wellness information — information you choose to provide such as weight, measurements, dietary preferences, fitness goals, and information about your family and children where relevant to the plans and content you use.
- Purchase information — records of the products, plans, and subscriptions you buy. Your card and bank details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Communications — the content of messages, survey and questionnaire responses, reviews, and support requests you send us.
- Social & community content — if you connect a social account or post in community features, the username and any content you make public.
Information we collect automatically
- Device & technical data — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, device identifiers, and (on the app) crash and diagnostic data.
- Usage data — pages and screens viewed, features used, content downloaded, and the date, time and duration of your visits and sessions.
- Approximate location — general geographic location derived from your IP address.
Sensitive information. Some health and wellness information is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act. We collect it only where you provide it to receive our plans and content, and by providing it you consent to us handling it for the purposes described in this policy. You can choose not to provide it, though some features may then be unavailable.
You can choose not to provide personal information, but we may not be able to deliver the products, services, or content you have requested.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:
- directly from you when you register, subscribe, buy a product, complete a form or survey, contact support, or post in community features;
- automatically as you browse the website or use the app, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 4);
- from third parties such as our payment, marketing, and analytics providers, and from publicly available sources such as social media, where it is reasonable to do so.
Where we collect personal information about you from someone other than you (for example, through a referral), we take reasonable steps to notify you of the circumstances of collection where it is reasonable to do so.
4. Cookies, analytics & tracking technologies
Our website and app use cookies and similar technologies (including SDKs, pixels, and web beacons) to keep you logged in, remember your cart and preferences, understand how the Wellness services are used, and deliver and measure marketing.
Some of these are persistent — they remain on your device between visits — and some are set by the third-party providers listed in section 6. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and manage app tracking through your device settings; disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Wellness services work. For detail on the specific cookies we use, see our Cookie Policy.
Analytics opt-out. We use Google Analytics to understand website and app usage. You can opt out of Google Analytics in your browser using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
5. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- provide, personalise, and improve the Wellness plans, content, and services;
- create and manage your account, subscriptions, and orders, and take payment;
- send you plan notifications, reminders, statements, and service messages;
- respond to your enquiries and provide customer support;
- send you marketing communications and tailored offers about our products, events, and promotions (you can opt out at any time);
- measure and improve our marketing, website, and app performance;
- maintain the security and integrity of our services and prevent fraud; and
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We may combine and de-identify personal information for reporting, statistical, business-improvement, and marketing purposes. Any aggregated or de-identified information we share with third parties will not identify you.

7. The Wellness app
The Wellness app is built on the BuildFire platform and distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. In addition to the information described above, the following applies specifically to the app.
As declared in the app’s Google Play Data Safety listing, the app may collect your name and email address, device or other identifiers, and precise location.
Device permissions
With your consent, the app may request access to device features to provide certain functionality — including location (the app may collect precise location) and notifications. You can review and change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Push notifications
If you enable them, we send push notifications for plan reminders, content updates, and offers. You can turn these off in your device settings at any time.
In-app purchases
Subscriptions and purchases made in the app are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive confirmation and status of your purchase, but not your full payment-card details.
App-store data & account deletion
Apple and Google require us to describe the data the app collects in their store listings (Apple’s Privacy Nutrition Labels and Google Play’s Data Safety section); those disclosures are kept consistent with this policy. You can delete your account and associated data directly in the app, or by asking us to delete your account on the website — see Your rights & choices below.
8. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers are located outside Australia, or store data on servers outside Australia. This means your personal information may be disclosed to, and stored in, overseas locations — primarily the United States, where providers such as BuildFire, Kinsta, Google, Meta, Klaviyo, HappyFox, and Braintree operate.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
9. How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Payment information is transmitted to our payment provider over an encrypted connection using current TLS (transport layer security) encryption.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You play an important role too — please keep your account password confidential and let us know immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
10. Your rights & choices
- Access & correction — you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also update much of it directly in your account or app profile. We may need to verify your identity first.
- Marketing opt-out — every marketing email and SMS includes an unsubscribe option, and you can ask us to stop marketing to you at any time.
- Withdraw consent — you can withdraw consent to our use or disclosure of your personal information, though this may mean we can no longer provide some services.
- Deletion — you can delete your account and associated personal information directly in the app, or ask us to delete your website account, subject to information we are required to retain by law.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in section 14. There are limited circumstances where access or correction may be refused (for example where it would be unlawful); we will explain our reasons if that occurs.
11. Children’s privacy
The Wellness services are intended for adults. We do not apply an age gate at account creation, but the services are not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them. Where you provide information about your children or family as part of a plan, we handle it under this policy. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Third-party links
Our website and app may contain links to third-party sites and social media features that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third party before providing your information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version will always be available on our website and in the app, and the personal information we hold will be governed by the most current policy. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Please check back periodically.
